Louise is an international speaker, educator and strategic change consultant.
Equipping and helping people design and implement valuable and effective change in their organizations is Louise's passion and expertise. For over 25 years she has led and advised the development and implementation of technological, process, and organization change initiatives. She has worked in various industry sectors including healthcare, finance, education, and public sector. Most recently she has focused on enterprise-wide digital initiatives that require cultural transformation.
Louise has always had a people-centric focus with the view that the point of any change initiative is to enable organizations and individuals to be more effective. She has helped and trained individuals across all levels of project involvement apply visual modelling techniques to scope and plan change initiatives. These techniques provide clear stakeholder value, support holistic risk management and motivate commitment and collaboration across executive, employees, and external partners.
The success of any enterprise change ultimately depends on people changing the way they do things.
Not only does Louise consult on change, she has lived it. Born in Scotland, she spent her childhood in Africa and south east Asia and as a teenager, immigrated with her family to Canada. She has worked for small and large organizations and experienced being outsourced first hand. In 1998 she and her partner established their own consulting company in British Columbia, moving to the east coast of Canada in 2010.
In her spare time, Louise raises goats, which are very intelligent and habitual creatures that notice the smallest change, of which they are simultaneously both suspicious and curious.
